Shops, theatres, cinemas, restaurants and bars are just a few minutes walk away, while ten minutes walk will bring you to our famous Princes Street and its gardens.
Many of the museums, galleries and attractions in Edinburgh city center and the Royal Mile are also an easy stroll from the studio flat.

EXTRA INFORMATION

ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE
Lets can begin and end on any day of the week, subject to availability. The minimum let is usually 3 nights (or 7 nights over New Year).
Arrival should be after 3pm and departure before 10am, but other times can be arranged in advance if necessary.
Usually we will be able to post you keys beforehand - otherwise we will arrange to meet you at the property on arrival.

COT or Z-BED, & HIGHCHAIR
A baby's travel cot (and bedding) and highchair are available on request.
A single z-bed is available on request. Please note the z-bed is not provided to sleep a 3rd adult in the studio flat (due to the size of the property). It is available for use when 2 occupants prefer seperate beds, or for a child.

GROCERIES
We can arrange for a small grocery pack (at cost price) to be there when you arrive - just let us have a detailed list of what you'd like. We'll provide a receipt with the shopping and you can leave the money on your departure.
There will be complimentary tea, coffee, sugar, milk, toilet tissue and soap there when you arrive - to start you off!

HEATING
Electricity and heating are included in our prices.

Free INTERNET ACCESS
Mobile Broadband is available at no extra charge - please request when booking, or at least 1 week in advance of arrival.
3G network coverage is provided by a 3-Mobile USB modem. Plug the dongle into a USB port on your laptop or netbook, and you can be online in minutes. (See www.three.co.uk for technical details.)
Please note: from August 2010 we will be using 3 Mobile's "Mi-Fi" device which provides internet access through a wireless modem. Laptops and netbooks need to be "wi-fi enabled" for this system to work. You can also use it with an iPod Touch.

LINEN AND CLEANING
Bed linen (duvet, pillows and covers), bath towels, hand towels and tea-towels are provided.
Properties are cleaned by us between lets but should be left clean and tidy by the departing occupants.
There is no daily or weekly cleaning service but iIf staying longer than 2 weeks we arrange to change the linen and clean the apartment halfway through your stay, or once every 2 weeks, at a time that is suitable to you.

PARKING
If you are bringing a car you can park either in the metered spaces in nearby streets (£2.00 per hour for up to 4 hours, 8.30am - 6.30pm, Mon - Sat) or the 24-hour multi-storey car-park on Castle Terrace (£18 per 24 hours), a couple of minutes walk away.
Motorbike and scooter parking is free in the designated spaces in nearby streets.

PETS
No pets allowed.

RESTRICTIONS
As the property is on the 4th floor and has opening windows, young children must be supervised.
The property will be unsuitable for some people as it is reached by 2 flights of stairs (approx 20 steps in total).

SMOKING / NON-SMOKING
Grassmarket Studio will be NON-SMOKING from 1st SEPTEMBER 2010 onwards.

TELEPHONE
There is a CreditCall telephone which allows free calls to the emergency services or to freephone numbers.
To make other outgoing calls use a credit card, Maestro/Switch, or Post Office Phonecard (the cheapest method).

Airlink Bus #100 bus stops at West End: Shandwick Place (from airport) or Lothian Road (to airport). Takes 25 minutes from/to airport.

(Lothian Buses) #2 passes the apartment block. It goes east along West Port and the Grassmarket and on to Southside/Newington area (going near to Arthur's Seat) - the other direction takes you close to Haymarket Station.

Lots of other bus routes travel close by on Princes Street, Lothian Road, Lauriston Place and George IV Bridge.
