The Arc
is a distinctive, modern, apartment building in the Abbeyhill district,
on the east side of Edinburgh's city-centre. It
has fabulous views of Edinburgh's highest point: Arthur's Seat in Holyrood
Park.
Close to Holyrood
Park, the Royal Mile and the new Scottish Parliament, the apartment
makes a perfect base for both sight-seeing and business trips. Nearby
there is also a large supermarket and the Meadowbank Sports Centre.
From The Arc it is only 10 minutes walk to Holyrood Palace
at the bottom of the Royal Mile or 20 minutes to Princes Street,
so plenty
of visitor attractions are
within easy
reach. There is also an excellent choice of bus routes
which can take you all over Edinburgh.
The
property has been given a 4-star rating by VisitScotland (theScottish
Tourist Board).

EXTRA
INFORMATION
ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE
Lets
can begin and end on any day of the week, subject to availability.
The minimum let is usually 3 nights, but it is 7 nights during August,
Christmas and New Year.
Arrival should be after 3pm and departure before
10am, but
other times can be arranged in advance if necessary.
Usually we will be able to post you keys beforehand
- otherwise we will arrange to meet you at the property on arrival.

COT
or Z-BED, & HIGHCHAIR
A baby's travel cot (and bedding) and highchair are available on request.
If 2 single guests require separate beds then there is a single
sofa-bed in the living-room and the linen for it is available on request. Please
note
the
living-room
is
open
plan
to
the
kitchen.
GROCERIES
We can arrange for a small grocery pack (at cost price) to be there when you
arrive - just let us have a detailed list of what you'd like. We'll provide
a receipt with the shopping and you can leave the money on your departure.
There will be complimentary tea, coffee, sugar, milk, toilet tissue and soap
there when you arrive - to start you off!
HEATING
Electricity and heating are included in our prices.
LINEN
AND CLEANING
Bed linen (duvet, pillows and covers), bath towels, hand towels and tea-towels
are provided.
Properties are cleaned by us between lets but should be left clean and tidy
by the departing occupants.
There is no daily or weekly cleaning service but iIf staying longer than 2
weeks we arrange to change the linen and clean the apartment halfway through
your stay, or once every 2 weeks, at a time that is suitable to you.
PARKING
The apartment block has a secure private parking area below the building.
One parking space is allocated to the apartment. It is a "medium-sized" space
so extra-large cars or vans may not fit in!
Please inform us if you intend to use the
car park because you will need an extra key for it.
PETS
Pets allowed by arrangement.
RESTRICTIONS As
the property is on the 4th floor and has opening windows, young children
must be supervised.
The
Arc is
a non-smoking apartment.
TELEPHONE
There is a CreditCall telephone which allows free calls to
the emergency services or to freephone numbers.
To make other outgoing calls use a credit card, Maestro/Switch, or Post Office
Phonecard (the cheapest method).
Access the internet by plugging your computer into the
modem socket at the back of the phone.
You will need to have an appropriate cable to do this and you will need to
re-set some of the settings on your computer.
Having a UK dial-up number cuts the cost of call charges.
